About The oneworld Alliance
Oneworld is an airline alliance founded on February 1st, 1999 with the aim of being the preferred choice for frequent international travelers. Its global headquarters is located in New York City, and it currently has 13 member airlines: Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airways, Royal Air Maroc, Royal Jordanian, and SriLankan Airlines. Fiji Airways is also a member as a Oneworld Connect partner. Oman Air has announced its intention to join the alliance by 2024.
As of March 2020, the Oneworld alliance collectively operates a fleet of 3,296 aircraft and serves about 1,000 airports in 170 countries, carrying over 490 million passengers per year on 13,000 daily departures.
